Job Description: We have an immediate need for a Data Architect -Tivoli Business Systems Management JOB DESCRIPTION Tivoli - 5 (Skill level 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest) Business Intelligence - 5 ADM - 4 5 - TBSM 4.1 product 4 - TEC Event Forwarding 5 - Leadership 5 - Communication - Written and Verbal 4 - Omnibus Product 3 - Application Development Experience 5 - Presentation Skills 2 - TSLA Brief Description of Position: The Data Architect is responsible for data management and maintenance as it relates to the Business Systems Management (BSM) methodology. Working with business partners and cross-functional teams, this person evaluates BSM and application data requirements and aids in the recommendation and proposal of systems management solutions as necessary. The data architect will aid in: the decomposition of business processes, the decomposition of technical diagrams and information, the interconnects between diverse data sources. The BSM Data Architect must effectively understand multiple IT disciplines. Responsibilities Include: Own the Steady-State Maintenance and ongoing integrity of the customer data retained for BSM data displays. Assist with BSM Business and Technical Decompositions and analysis. ie. what kind of data is going to be needed. Understand the customer data and have the ability to manage and manipulate the data per customer requirements with the focus on maintaining data integrity. Assist in relating individual data elements to business impact views. Assist in mapping BSM Decomposition and Analysis findings into tool and process requirements with the focus on maintaining data integrity. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop Point of Arrival (POA) solutions and implementation roadmaps for ongoing maintenance of BSM data; including problem/change integration and reporting system integration. The Data Architect must be able to multitask and work with a sense of urgency and under sometimes tight deadlines. They must also be able to work closely with other group members in a team environment but require little or no supervision to complete individual tasks or deliverables. Knowledge and experience with relational database concepts, including Microsoft Access, is highly desired but not required. Brief Description of Project: Implementation of systems management tools, including technical and business systems views, to improve the availability and capability of the accounts Tier 1 applications. Skills Required: A working knowledge and understanding of TBSM product Detail-oriented, Excellent organizational skills, Strong analytical skills, strong communication skills, Strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
