The role: Financial Consultant II We are seeking a seasoned financial consultant (fully licensed) to manage a portfolio and provide needs-based financial solutions to existing and perspective M&T clients. We need a motivated team player with a track record of sales success to manage and grow a high performing book of business within an independent sales structure.
Responsibilities: -Actively propose needs-based financial solutions to new bank clients and mass affluent clients as well as service current relationships through ongoing account reviews and re-evaluation of client needs. -Analyze customer situation, determining best advice and product approach for customer contact situations. -Provide financial planning services by advising the customer regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different product decisions. -Maintain, on a weekly basis, activity log to substantiate advisory and referral activity; follows up on the activity levels of all products. -Market, service, and promote the bank’s financial products. -Actively solicit new customers for investment portfolio. -Conduct sales calls to maintain current relationships. -The incumbent must be knowledgeable in all facets of securities and insurance in a bank environment.
Basic Qualifications: -A minimum of three years sales/financial service experience. -Hold the following licenses: FINRA Series 7 AND (within 12 months of employment): FINRA Series 26 -or- Series 24, FINRA Series 63 -Relevant State Life/Variable Insurance -PC skills including Microsoft Access, Excel and Word. -Extensive product knowledge. -Excellent verbal and written communications skills. -Strong presentation skills with ability to phrase technical jargon to simple explanations. -Self-motivated, well-organized individual. -Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment.
Ideal Qualifications: -Knowledge of bank products and services. -Knowledge of GroupWise and ezLeads Software Program
