Basic Function: The Team Leader will be responsible for the management of a team of at least three Business Bankers, with a combined loan portfolio of at least $50MM, in meeting assigned goals including loan volume production, cross sale of other bank products, control of delinquencies on existing loan portfolio and maintenance, retention, and increase of relationships with existing and new Business Banking customers.
Responsibilities: As Team Leader, provide direction to team members in: -Development of new banking relationships -Servicing of existing client base -Achievement of assigned goals -Coordination with branch partners in maximizing sales efforts and cross sales -Networking with centers of influence and other referral sources -Negotiating with underwriters and clients to maximize revenue and minimize risk -Utilization of prescribed selling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
General Responsibilities -Knowledge of and adherence to Bank’s Credit Policy, and use of lending authority -Participation in civic and cultural organizations and programs -Maintenance and creation of relationships with COIs, and other referral sources -Responsible for personnel management, recruitment and training, including exercise of usual management authority with respect to staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, and terminations -Assists Regional Business Banking Manager with development of department strategy, and budget planning and management -Responsible for interacting with loan analysts, underwriters and customers on lender’s behalf to facilitate loan production -Provision of support and problem solving for lenders on loan structuring on complex credits; joint sales calls -Coordination of efforts of lenders and branch managers via communication with Area Sales Managers to achieve mutual market goals -Keep current with customer demand for deposit products, information reporting systems, investment methods, etc
Basic Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant work experience required -7+ years in commercial lending experience -3-5 years in Supervisory or branch management experience preferred -Working knowledge MS Word and Excel -Ability to read and analyze financial statements and tax returns -Excellent credit skills -Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of bank personnel as well as clients and potential customers -Ability to work under critical time constraints -Self motivated, well organized
Ideal Qualifications: -MBA preferred -NASD Series 6 and 63 helpful -Familiarity with technical terminology of accounting field -Excellent understanding of product specialties available to Business Banking customers and the ability to identify sales opportunities within the product sets -Familiarity with software utilized within the department a plus -Knowledge of bank’s policies, products and services More...
